Training “Peculiarities of the management and organization of the operation of crisis centres/rooms” is held December 12 – 15 in Brest

The representatives of the committees on labour, employment and social security of oblast executive committees, administrations of territorial centres providing social services to the population and crisis rooms were invited to participate in the event. Specialists from Minsk, Brest, Homieĺ, Hrodna, Mahilioŭ, Babruisk, Barysaŭ, Voranava, Kamianec, Kobryn, Lida, Masty, Orša, Polack, Salihorsk and Čavusy arrived to attend the training. Ms. Zehra Tosun, an expert from Turkey, speaks about the operation of crisis centres abroad. Ms. Olga Gorbunova, National Expert, Chair of Radislava NGO, shares her experience of managing a shelter for the survivors of domestic violence in Minsk for several years.

The training is organized in the framework of the project “Developing national capacity to counteract domestic violence in Belarus in the context of increased gender equality” to improve the operation of crisis rooms established at the territorial centres providing social services to the population of the republic. People who find themselves in crisis situations, including victims of domestic violence can find help and shelter in these rooms.
