The Play Seven is a work of documentary theater written by seven American female playwrights based on interviews with seven women leaders from different countries of the world. The story of each women is a call to end gender inequality and violence against women, whether economic, sexual, physical or psychological.

The purpose of the play is to highlight the issue of gender-based violence and to launch public and expert discussion on how we can end it.

Five readings (with decision makers, expert, with celebrities/public,
inclusive/regional and coordinated by young people) of the play Seven were held in the framework of UNFPA CO Belarus campaign against gender-based violence, with focus on counteracting domestic violence and inviting general public to express zero tolerance to GBV.

Playwrights: Paula Cizmar, Catherine Filloux, Gail Kriegel, Carol K. Mack, Ruth Margraff, Anna Deveare-Smith and Susan Yankowitz with the support of Vital Voices Global Partnership.
